Every parent must read and sign ALL of the ASC/ VHSA policy forms for each student.  Additionally, both parents and students are expected to read, understand and agree to adhere to the policies described in the Student/Parent Handbook, including the following:

ALCOHOL & DRUG POLICY

Possession and/or use of alcohol or drugs are forbidden.  Further, the possession and use of alcohol on and off campus will be subject to the same disciplinary action.  The ASC community is relatively small in comparison to the traditional school.  As a member of the ASC community your behavior is a reflection on the entire community. No man is an island unto himself!

HOMEWORK POLICY (Actual homework time depends upon the work habits of individual students.)

·        Lower Level (ages 7-8)—20 minutes per core class (max. 1 to 1-1/2 hours)

·        Intermediate Level (ages 9-10) - 30 minutes per core class (max. 2 hours)

·        Upper Level— (11-17) 40 minutes per core class (max. 2 hours, 40 minutes)

        Every student MUST read, every night.  This is time not included in the above homework schedules.  Most of our families attend church on one evening each week.  Please make your child’s coach aware of your church evening so that adjustments may be made to accommodate family worship.
